9 Ball Challenge!

One of the most fun pool games around is 9 ball. Played at many tourneys and by pros throughout the world, it is the ultimate challenge of your ability to not only make precision shots, but also to plan your leave strategically.

The object of the game is to sink the 9 ball, but you must hit the lowest # ball on the table FIRST every shot. So there are only 9 balls in play & they are racked with the one ball in front & the 9 ball in the center of the bunch. If you miss your shot, you lose your turn. And if you don’t hit the lowest # on the table first, you lose your turn AND your opponent gets the next shot “ball in hand.”

What size table will work in your gameroom?

When it comes to pool tables, selecting the right size for your game room is key to creating the perfect space for family fun! There are many sizes for residential (home) play: 6, 7, 8, 8.5/oversized 8, & 9 foot. Eight foot tables are more common in homes, while pubs & pool halls more typically have 7′ tables for play.

As a rule, you’d like to have a room that is 13′x17′ or larger to comfortably fit an 8′ table. If your room is smaller than that, you’d probably have more fun playing on a good 7 footer cuz you’d rather have more room around a small table than less around a larger one.

Both stores are closed on Sunday so we can enjoy family time. We are always available by appointment!
